Lucha libre is storytelling, it’s a dance, it’s tradition, it’s culture.

Over the course of 12 episodes, WWE’s Santos Escobar speaks with some of lucha libre’s most iconic masked heroes to uncover the stories of the people who have dedicated their lives to the ring.

Each episode spotlights a legendary luchador like El Santo, Blue Demon, Sangre Chicana, La Parca, Los Gringos Locos and Rey Misterio Jr., and many more to unmask how they helped take la lucha from a niche Mexican sport to a global phenomenon.

In the podcast, the heroic figures open up to Santos Escobar about how they championed in favor of historically vulnerable groups such as people living in poverty, women and the LGBTQ+ community.

With nearly two decades of experience in lucha libre, Santos Escobar has countless experiences to share about the sport that raised him.

🇲🇽 The second-generation superstar is a veteran of the Mexican wrestling scene. Hailing from Mexico City, he is the son of legendary luchador El Fantasma and nephew of the late Arkangel de la Muerte. Though he grew up well-versed in the art of lucha libre, Santos Escobar has set himself apart from other luchadores with his unique ability to fuse highflying with powerful maneuvers.

Whether you’re a long-time fan of lucha libre or new to this culturally rich and thrilling world, this podcast shares a profound appreciation for the wrestlers who have shaped this incredible global phenomenon.
